Meet Our Mavericks

Glen-Marie Frost

Glen-Marie was an enormous part of our founding journey. Her story helped inspire the entire mission of The Equanimity Project, and we couldn’t have done it without her! She continues to support us through her advocacy and leadership, as a maverick and beyond.

“I’m blessed that I have a roof over my head unlike so many other women out there.”

Alina Berdichevsky

As a relationship mentor who, for the last 15 years, has worked to empower women to make healthy relationship choices, Alina knows how important community, financial independence and a safe haven is to a woman when the intimate connection reaches a point of volatility.

She joined The Equanimity Project to help provide this support for women (and their kids and pets) through housing, employment, and ongoing friendship & empowerment. A safe haven for women to go when they feel threatened or scared, before things escalate to a devastating point, is the clear solution that we strive to provide together.

If there is anything I can do to help keep more women safe, thriving and free from violence, I will do it – and the Equanimity Project is an obvious organisation to lend my energy and passion to.

Mavericks are individuals who have overcome similar adversities as our wonderful cohort of women.  They are fighters, achievers, visionaries and believers.

Do you believe the system can be changed?  Then join our Mavericks and show the power of the people is greater than the people in power.
